The scene then pans over to Charlize Theron sporting every makeup

trick in the book.  The cheekbones are contoured from under and atop

with pearly highlighter…a tight shot showcases her face as she gives

her best runway expression and it is such a letdown.

On paper, Theron reads as beautiful.  A tasteful rhinoplasty, probably

cheek implants and a perfectly symmetrical face yet her visage is so

non-descript.  Her eyes don’t grab you.  She just doesn’t have that special

something.  She’s reminiscent of the new Princess Charlene in that regards.  Even the model extras littered throughout this corny commercial

offer us more intrigue in their faces.

Adding CGI of Princess Grace, Marlene Dietrich and Marilyn Monroe serves to remind us all that they just don’t churn ‘em out like they used to.

There are no glamorous screen legends of today and if you search the Theron archives here you’ll quickly realize that Charlize has no fashion sense to match

her lack of other worldliness.
