TOO SCARED TO SEE THE SHOES
Just caught this from People mag this morning...Gwyneth doing some
charity in London by selling off some of her designer duds. This dress
is an improvement over her usual fashion flubs.
Next, the mag has a photo gallery of her past looks and even a
guide on how to do her eye makeup!
For the N.Y.C. launch of Estee Lauder's fragrance Sensuous, celebrity makeup artist Matin "wanted to bring more attention" to Paltrow's eyes with smoky neutrals.
How to Do It
1. Rub Estee Lauder Double Wear Zero Smudge liquid Liner in Black into lash base.
2. Line eyes with black kohl liner.
3. Blend Pure Color Eye Shadow in Mocha Cup on lid.
4. Sweep on two coats of Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting mascara in Black.
Mon Dieux! Why would anyone want this look? Having a defined brow is
so much more important than wearing the staple that is mascara. Why is
Madonna not sharing this with her?! Who is this so called celebrity makeup
artist Matin? In most cases, mascara on the bottom lashes should be avoided
as it makes the eye appear smaller and less lifted. Stupid headed people!
Gwyneth, listen to me because I have blond eyelashes and eyebrows also-
GET YOURSELF THIS EYEBROW KIT!
It has two colors of eyebrow powder,
sealing wax, tweezers, brow pencil
and the most important thing of all-
stencils! Three of them. They remind
me of Colorforms from childhood
I picked up mine at Sephora
Invest a few bucks on this and not
some silly-assed shoes
The kit can be used for day just sub
the brown brow pencil in the kit for
a blond one and switch up the stencil
I can duplicate the eye on the cover
with black liquid eyeliner and a faux
eyelash cut in half and trimmed
Of course, Gwyneth, you can never duplicate this eye exactly like I can because
you just don't have really nice eyes like myself and the model but you will look so
much more put together and well groomed.
Oh yeah, and while your at it can you please tell Madge to knock it the hell off
with the fake dark roots? She's not fooling anybody here. We know her hair
is sporting the silver threads. See archives.

What eye make-up remover do you use? I'm totally picking up a brow kit - thnx for tip.

You just got me going on my next 'product junkie' kick w/tips. I usually use anti-
bacterial soap as I am a cheap MF but when I'm loading on the fake lashes and tons of mascara, I use Lancome Bi-Facil, for cleaning my makeup brushes, also. That eyebrow kit is by 'Two-Faced' by the way.

speaking of fake lashes - do you put on eyeliner before you put the lashes on or after? Or both? I always try the lashes - then mess with them until so frustrated that I rip them off.

Lashes always go on last. Always. Also, after they are secure, you then go and use an eyelash curler and curl your own in conjunction with the faux lash. Never curl your own lashes first because they screw up the application and get in the way. Take the curler and pump close to the lid and then pull out towards the end of the lashes and pump another curl. Lightly heat the eyelash curler w/your blow dryer first. If you just buy a Lancome mascara and follow my tips in a later post (thanks to you, Liz) you really won't need the faux lashes. I'll post this later tonight...

It's a brilliant idea to post the how-to make-up section explaining how to get the starlet's look. Should be a regular feature. Email back:)

OMG. I just finished the agonizing task of watching 'Ironman'. Gwyneth, you just can't act and should stay away from any movie role because it is just an insult to the audiences' intelligence. Your red hair did actually go better with your juvenile freckeled face but whoever smeared that pink lipstick on your non-existant lips needs a couple of classes in cosmotology. My sons 16yo girlfriend could have done a better job,in the dark, with her eyes closed! And don't think you hid those knobby knees with that long black dress/skirt. Although most camera shots were kept above knee level, we saw the knobby knees in the last scene. Ugh! BTW those 6" heels didn't help you with that awkward movement you call walking. Sorry for the bad review but I don't think many others could disagree. Comments???
