COUNTESS DE LaLUSH

The Beautiful Countess from the reality TV show on Bravo Network

  STUNNING!
 CHIC!

A DRUNK?

Today, PageSix had a little item about LuAnn giving unwarranted advice at an upscale lounge. They also linked to some other stories of how she can't seem to hold her liquor...

COUNTESS Luann de Lesseps, the reality train wreck from Bravo's "Real Housewives of New York City," is still on the prowl - and this time she's trying to help other women score, too.

New Yorker Lilian Raji and a Korean female friend were at the St. Regis the other night having a drink. Raji was talking to a man while her pal surfed the gossip sites on her iPhone, when de Lesseps butted in.

According to Raji, de Lesseps turned to the duo and said, "I see you working so hard on your BlackBerry; you can't switch off. And I believe in empowering women, because I myself am a woman, so let me give you this advice. When men see females on their BlackBerrys working hard, it really turns them off.

"Men like women to be females," de Lesseps advised, "to not be like workaholics, as that comes off as being uptight in the bedroom and control freaks. "

As Raji recalls it, de Lesseps went on to tell her friend, "With you being Asian, you have an advantage. My European friends in particular adore Asian females because of their submissiveness. So work that to your advantage. At the same time, I can sympathize with you as a woman in New York City, but you have to do what you have to do to snag a man."

And with that, de Lesseps, who's married to Alexandre Count de Lesseps but has been caught in clinches with other men this year, announced, "There are no cute men worth my attention here," and left.

Luann said, via her spokesman, Howard Rubenstein, "As someone of Native American heritage, I don't tolerate ethnic stereotyping. But I will say I'm a big believer in manners, and excessive use of a BlackBerry at a table is impolite."

That same night, the other women of "Real Housewives" went to the Page Six Magazine party for Candace Bushnell's book "One Fifth Avenue" at High Bar, on West 48th Street, where Ramona Singer and Alex staged a fight.

If the Countess did say, "There are no cute men worth my attention here," I am so loving her. So haughty and arrogant but then again, aren't most alcoholics? I should know. Hell, I DO KNOW! However, there is a twist here that a lot of people aren't aware of- NATIVE AMERICANS CANNOT METABOLIZE ALCOHOL! They also have allergies and intolerence to many dairy products. I don't care if you are 1/16th, 1/8th or 1/4th Native American it is most likely you are addicted yet allergic to alcohol and you will become a completely different person when you consume said product.  This story is tame compared to the next two incidences of LuAnn getting totally sloshed and acting like. well...me at times.
Her new season airs starting on October 7th. I've watched a few episodes from last season but most of the characters were so dull I never bothered to keep up with it.  The only one worth watching was LuAnn herself but you have to drudge through watching the other dull broads. Surely in New York you can find charismatic women besides LuAnn but the producers are letting her carry the show herself, basically.  Keep LuAnn and recast the rest of the crew!
